Overview — why filters matter when searching assets

Insentric gives you an easy way to find dashboards and charts. When you open the Reports section, you’ll see search filters at the top. These filters help you narrow down results based on details like name, owner, tags, and more.

Before going to the next sections, you can read this article to better understand dashboard metadata, since it's a key part of how Insentric’s search functionality works.

You can also switch between card view and list view to choose the layout that works best for you.

Filters save time, especially when you manage a lot of data. Below, you’ll learn which filters apply to dashboards, charts, or both.

Search filters that apply to both dashboards and charts

Filter by name

Search by the name of a dashboard or chart. The search isn’t case-sensitive but only matches the title — not the content inside.

Filter by tag

Tags help you group assets using shared labels.

Example: Use tags like “Lead Nurturing” or “Newsletter Performance” to find related email marketing charts.

Filter by owner

See only the dashboards or charts created or owned by a specific person. This is helpful for team-based views.

Filter by favorite

You can mark dashboards or charts as favorites using the star icon:

Then, use the “Favorite” filter to see only the ones you’ve starred.

Filter by certification

Only show dashboards and charts that have been certified by Insentric as accurate and reliable.

Filter by last modifier

Find assets based on who updated them last. This is useful when checking recent edits from a teammate.

Search filters for dashboards

Filter by status

Choose to see only published dashboards or include drafts too. This is handy when preparing dashboards for review or presentations.

Search filters for charts

Filter by chart type

Choose from chart types like bar, pie, or area to find the right visual format.

Filter by dataset

Show only charts built from a specific dataset.

Example: Filter by “Email Engagement Metrics” to see related campaign visuals.

Filter by dashboard

Search for charts based on the dashboards they belong to. This helps you filter within a specific report or view.

Sort results — choose how dashboards and charts are ordered

You can sort dashboards and charts in three ways:

  • Alphabetical order
  • Most recently modified
  • Least recently modified
