Setup Overview — why this matters

Setting up the right fields in your connected platforms helps Insentric create clear and accurate reports. This ensures your data is reliable and your team can make better decisions.

Find Field Settings — where to look

You can manage field settings from the left-hand bar in the admin view of Insentric. The image below shows where to find these options:

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Marketo: Click Marketo Fields to pick your fields for reports.
  2. Salesforce: Click Salesforce Configuration to see options like Contacts Setup and Accounts Setup. You can visit this article to better understand why Salesforce field setup is divided across different objects like Leads, Contacts, and Accounts.
  3. HubSpot: Click HubSpot Configuration to open pages like Contacts Setup or Deals Setup.

Best Practices — keep your data clean

  1. Use API names: API names are unique and help avoid mix-ups.
  2. Choose only what you need: Don’t select everything — pick only the fields that help you report well.
  3. Review regularly: Check your field choices as your needs change.

Some fields have light blue checkboxes — they’re added by default. Grayed-out checkboxes show fields with personal data (PII) that can’t be used for reports because of privacy rules.
